After obtaining a BA from Northwestern University, Dr. Shah returned to his hometown of Dallas, Texas and received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine. He then attended the prestigious 6-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Yale University.
After residency, he was selected to complete an advanced specialty fellowship in hand & microsurgery at New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Shah has published numerous articles and book chapters and remains on the forefront of research and innovation. He has held a number of leadership positions including Board Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ International Scholar Committee and Co-Director of the Plastic Surgery Journal’s Resident Blog. He has received numerous awards including APEX Award for Publication Excellence, Resident Physician Power Award at Yale School of Medicine and the Betsy Winters House Staff Award.
By using his extensive training, Dr. Shah is able to provide thoughtful solutions to complex surgical problems. His compassionate nature provides patients with a sense of safety and comfort.
